Scale Components Pty Ltd is Australian-owned with its head-office in Brisbane and with service support staff based in both Melbourne and Sydney.

Regarded as the market leader in the development, supply and support of measurement information systems and solutions to national and regional transportation, distribution and logistics industries, Scale Components'
approach to market is based upon creation of customised solutions through the integration of standard products with proprietary software and hardware. Our engineering and technical staff provide on-going field support to our clients through both on-site and remote services.

Capability

We maintain a core of engineering personnel - the company has 21 staff on payroll· and draws on the resources of a number of specialised contractors with whom we have long-term relationships to supplement our own skill-base and resources as required.

Research and Development

Our commitment to research and development of new products is ongoing and extensive, recent examples of which include:

• PallelScan, pallet dimensioning system incorporating laser linear dimensioning, mass measurement and barcode identification with proprietary software for data capture, manipulation and export to external host computer systems as required. This system, understood to be the first pallet dimensioning system approved any where in the wand, has Australian National Measurement Institute (NMI) approval for use in legal-for-trade applications.
• ParcelScan, parcel dimensioning system for use in low-volume freight handling and management systems, incorporating laser linear-dimensioning, mass measurement and barcocle identification with proprietary software for data capture, manipulation and export to external host computer systems as required. This system has Australian NMI approval for use in legal-for-trade applications.
• High-speed in motion catch-weighing
• Automated batch-control systems for construction industries including proprietary high speed measurement hardware, control software, administrative software including connectivity with external computer systems.
